If you're looking to get outside and enjoy the natural beauty of Northwest Arkansas, there’s no better way than chasing waterfalls. From easy hikes to rugged trails, these local favorites offer incredible scenery, peaceful sounds of rushing water, and unforgettable day trips — all within reach of NWA.
Hemmed-In Hollow Falls — Compton, AR
At 209 feet, this is the tallest waterfall between the Rockies and Appalachians. The hike is steep but rewarding, with incredible views deep in the Buffalo National River area.

Tanyard Creek Falls — Bella Vista, AR
One of the most family-friendly waterfall hikes in the region, featuring a short, easy trail with multiple falls and beautiful scenery year-round.
Glory Hole Falls — Ozone, AR
One of the most unique waterfalls in the Ozarks, the stream has carved a hole right through a rock ledge, creating a natural rock skylight for the falling water.
Eden Falls — Ponca, AR
Located on the Lost Valley Trail, Eden Falls offers multiple waterfalls on the way up and leads to a cave near the top. It’s a great mix of scenery and adventure.
Kings River Falls — Witter, AR
This beautiful spot includes a short hike, crystal-clear water, and a wide waterfall perfect for wading and relaxing on warmer days.
Sweden Creek Falls — Kingston, AR
An 81-foot drop surrounded by beautiful hardwood forest, Sweden Creek Falls is a lesser-known gem that stays peaceful even on busy weekends.
Triple Falls (Twin Falls) — Jasper, AR
After rain, this spot can create as many as three side-by-side waterfalls. Easy access makes this one of the most popular photo stops in the Ozarks.

Magnolia Falls — Deer, AR
A hidden treasure with a peaceful setting. The hike is fairly easy and gives visitors a tranquil view of the falls surrounded by bluff lines.
Devil's Den Falls — West Fork, AR
Inside Devil’s Den State Park, this is one of Arkansas’s best-known outdoor spots. It’s a great option for families, with beautiful rock formations and great hiking trails all around.
Natural Falls — West Siloam Springs, OK
Right across the Oklahoma border, this 77-foot waterfall sits in a beautiful state park that’s easy to access and features well-maintained walkways.
