JJ’s Live Rebrands as Ozark Music Hall Following Ownership Change

Transition to Ozark Music Hall Includes Facility Upgrades

Fayetteville, Ark. — One of Northwest Arkansas’ premier live entertainment venues has a new name and a new owner. JJ’s Live, located at 3615 N. Steele Blvd. in Fayetteville, has officially rebranded as Ozark Music Hall following a year-long transition that included facility upgrades and a shift in ownership to national venue operator Gate 52.

From Local Roots to Regional Stage

Originally known as JBGB and later JJ’s Live, the venue has served as a hub for live music in Fayetteville, hosting a wide range of performances spanning rock, country, hip hop, EDM, and comedy. The rebrand to Ozark Music Hall, announced in mid-August 2025, marks a significant step in aligning the venue with a broader regional identity while maintaining its local audience base.

The new name was selected through a community-driven naming contest and fan vote, reflecting the operator’s emphasis on local engagement.

Ownership Transition

The rebrand coincides with an ownership change. Roughly a year ago, the venue was acquired by Save Live, which has since rebranded itself as Gate 52. The company operates approximately 14 venues across the United States, including the Criterion in Oklahoma City and the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee.

Industry observers note that the shift to Gate 52’s management brings additional resources, operational expertise, and access to stronger artist networks, positioning the Fayetteville venue for continued growth in a competitive regional entertainment market.

Facility Upgrades

The new ownership has already invested in significant facility improvements. Enhancements include:

  • Expanded restroom facilities

  • Additional bars to improve concession access

  • Upgraded VIP seating and improved sightlines

  • Enhanced backstage amenities, including updated production spaces and dressing rooms for touring artists

These investments aim to elevate both the audience and artist experience, aligning the venue with national standards while preserving its local appeal.

Strategic Significance

The rebranding to Ozark Music Hall underscores a strategic balance between local identity and national infrastructure. For Fayetteville, this ensures the venue remains a cornerstone of the community’s entertainment landscape, while benefiting from Gate 52’s larger portfolio and industry reach.

With the renovations completed and a new name in place, Ozark Music Hall is positioned to attract bigger acts, deliver stronger fan experiences, and solidify Fayetteville’s reputation as a destination for live music in the Ozarks.
