Arkansas Track Teams Shine at LSU Invitational
The Arkansas men's and women's track and field teams showcased impressive performances at the LSU Invitational in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, marking their final road meet before the SEC Outdoor Championships. Ranked No. 8 for men and No. 4 for women, the Razorbacks were among an elite group of teams, with nine out of ten men’s teams and six out of ten women's teams ranked within the top tier nationally.
Impeccable Performances Leading up to Championships
With the NCAA West Region First Round approaching, the Razorbacks are zeroing in on refining their skills and achieving optimal times. Rachel Glenn maintained her form by not only holding the top qualifying time in the West region for the 400 hurdles but also taking first place in high jump at an impressive height of 6 feet, 2 1/4 inches, defeating last year’s outdoor national champion.
Razorbacks Set Season Bests
Scottie Vines continued his strong performance, marking his second consecutive clearance over seven feet in the men’s high jump. In the 1,500-meter races, both Brian Masai and Olivia Pielemeier set personal bests, solidifying their standings as formidable competitors. Additionally, Connor Washington produced season-best times in the 100 meters and 200 meters, securing fourth in both events, while the men's 400-meter relay team delivered a top-8 all-time Arkansas performance.

As the Razorbacks gear up for the Arkansas Twilight meet on May 9, they’re also focused on the upcoming SEC Championships set for May 15-17. With many athletes aiming to qualify for the NCAA West Regionals, each event carries significant weight moving into the competitive phase of the season.
