America's 250th Independence Day Celebration in Northwest Arkansas

This year's Fourth of July carries extra weight. Northwest Arkansas isn't just marking another Independence Day — it's joining communities nationwide in celebrating America's 250th birthday, the semiquincentennial of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Several local shows have built tributes around the milestone, and Fayetteville is bringing back a citywide fireworks display for the first time in more than a decade specifically to mark the occasion.
Below is the regional schedule, laid out in the order events actually happen, from June 29th through the days just after the holiday. Times and locations come from local event organizers and may shift slightly, so it's worth double-checking with the "more info" links before you head out.

Planning Tips

  • Arrive early. The Fayetteville Mall show and the AMP's SoNA concert are both expected to draw unusually large 250th-anniversary crowds.

  • Personal fireworks are banned at most municipal venues, including Orchards Park in Bentonville — check local ordinances before lighting your own.

  • Boat-only shows (like the Ventris display on Beaver Lake) require water access; there's no shoreline viewing option.

  • Two nights of baseball fireworks. Arvest Ballpark in Springdale runs fireworks after Naturals games on both July 3 and July 4, so you get two chances to catch that show.

  • Pets and fireworks don't mix well — plan to keep animals calm and secured indoors during evening shows.

Event times and details can shift close to the holiday — confirm specifics with each event's listed contact before you go.
